Abstract
The 'Rutaceae of the N.C.W. Beadle Herbarium' collection aims to contribute to the discovery, description and analysis of this eastern hemisphere family of eudicots, with special focus on Australian Rutaceae through collection, exchange, curation and study of high quality herbarium specimens and associated activities and collections based at the N.C.W. Beadle Herbarium and with collaborators. A particular local effort has been on Rutaceae of Australia. The N.C.W. Beadle Herbarium holds 2,424 specimens of Rutaceae of which 2,412 were collected in Australia. The collection includes 282 species of Rutaceae and 44 genera. Specimens have been collected from all Australian states and territories. Specimens from outside Australia have been collected in Algeria, China, Fiji, Thailand, and the United States of America. The specimen sheet collection of the N.C.W. Beadle Herbarium is databased and available to registered users for online data entry and data query. Records include most standard herbarium label fields (see http://www.une.edu.au/herbarium/collecting.php) as used across Australia (e.g. http://www.anbg.gov.au/cpbr/herbarium/collecting/field-note-book.html) including name, collector(s), locality and habitat.
