Abstract

The article focuses on researching the role of rural women in the process of agricultural transformation in Soc Trang and Hau Giang provinces in the context of climate change in the Mekong Delta region. Through analyzing the rate of participation in agricultural and non-agricultural production activities, social activities and family work of women in this area, the research results show that the role of women in agricultural transitions are often underestimated and they often face many difficulties and barriers. Therefore, proper recognition and respect for their role is important to improve the quality of life of rural women and their families.
