Abstract |
Imaging technology has allowed the increase of ID photographs being used on many forms of credentials including drivers' licences, credit cards, security passes, passports, etc. The inclusion of photographs on credentials has led, for the purpose of criminal activities, to the falsifying of genuine documents with photograph Is of the perpetrating criminal. This photograph may be used as valuable physical evidence when compared with known photographs of the suspect. The photograph incorporated on an alleged falsified credential is somewhat of a signature of the suspect that is left behind on the evidence.
