The dataset encompasses the results of three crop pollination field experiments and a systematic review to evaluate global crop pollinator dependency. The three field experiments examine the role of (i) co-flowering basil plants on blueberry pollinator visitation rates and berry weight; (ii) the effects of anti-bird netting and polyethylene protective crop covers on blueberry insect visitation and yield; and (iii) the role of blueberry floral morphology on insect visitation rates to three blueberry cultivars. The systematic review collates empirical data derived from studies identified using the Scopus and Web of Science databases in 2020. All data relating to crop pollination outcomes were extracted from publications and encoded together with complete bibliographic records. In addition, the dataset contains a phylogenetic tree of the crop species used for a meta-analysis, derived from open-source datasets.
