I have been working with a range of repository software since 2005 at QUT, Griffith University, University of Otago and am now at University of New England as Senior Research Publications and Data Librarian. My current project is selecting and implementing a new Institutional Repository to manage research outputs and archived datasets. For four years I was employed at QUT Library in a number of roles. After a six month secondment at Griffith University I moved to University of Otago Library (Dunedin, New Zealand) in early 2008. While at Otago (until 2017) I established the Institutional Research Repository, moved the Library’s digital collections from Filemaker to Omeka, migrated two ePrints repositories to the DSpace IRR. Since establishing the OUR Journal Service now hosts 6 journal using OJS and 1 monograph publication using OMP. In 2014 I was part of the team who developed the Marsden Online Archive. I coordinated the development of the Digital Asset Management system, using Fedora/Islandora. I achieved my LIANZA Associateship in 2017 and am Professionally Registered with LIANZA. I was the Toastmasters C4 Area Director in New Zealand, District 72. I previously served as the National Digital Forum Otago Regional Ambassador. I was the LIANZA Otago Southland Chairperson and was the Treasurer. My interests include digital preservation, repository systems, academic impact and profiles, heritage collections, open access, and creative commons. Outside work I am the Immediate-Past President of the Speakeasy Toastmasters Club, write poetry, practice photography and make jewellery. |
